Customer Accounts Manager (Posted November 2016)

Located in West Sussex, World Aero was formed in 1999 to supply a variety of aircraft maintenance services. In 2008 our component MRO business was established specialising in wheel and brake repairs. We are now seeking a Customer Accounts Manager to join our thriving and dynamic team on a permanent basis. 

 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Proactive management of all customer repairs from receipt to outgoing shipment

• Building strong relationships with customers and maximising opportunities

• Evaluating workshop reports and creating quotations

• Processing customer quote approvals and rejections

• Working closely with the purchasing and workshop team to avoid any implications on customer delivery targets

• Creating final paperwork and processing the return shipment to the customer

• Updating computer systems with the latest information on the progress of customer units and providing regular updates to senior staff

• Working closely with junior staff to ensure the smooth running of the department

• Any other duties as requested 

 

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working within aviation in a MRO executive role or similar

• Awareness of certification and airworthiness regulations

• Ability to recognise and react to customer requirements

• Proficient in the use of Quantum, Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word

• Strong administration and organisation skills with excellent attention to detail

• Good commercial awareness

• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

• Numeracy 

• Ability to prioritse workload

• Problem solving

• Ability to work well on their own initiative and as part of a team

Wheel and Brake Mechanics & Technicians (Posted October 2016)

World Aero are looking to recruit aircraft wheel & brake mechanics and technicians to join our busy workshop team.

We are looking for both experienced aircraft technicians and also people with more general mechanical experience who are maybe new to aviation maintenance. JOB DESCRIPTION:

• To carry out approved maintenance, repair and overhaul within a Wheels and Brakes Workshop

• To carry out aircraft wheel and brake inspection, repair and overhaul in accordance with approved documentation and to correct quality standards

• Work to ensure that all safety precautions and procedures are in place and ensure that the workshop environment and any working area is kept in a clean and tidy manner

• To assist Workshop Manager and supervisory staff with any task delegated

 


KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mechanical knowledge gained from an apprenticeship or formal training

• Good knowledge of workshop procedures

• Previous wheels and brakes experience an advantage but not essential, all training will be given

• Fluent English, including technical English

• Valid work permit to work in UK

• Full Driving License
