World Aero Three Peaks Challenge

SO, THE TEAM FROM WORLD AERO COMPLETED THE NATIONAL THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE! THE WHOLE TEAM MADE IT UP AND DOWN BEN NEVIS, SCAFELL PIKE AND SNOWDON AND DESPITE NOT QUITE MAKING THE SUB-24 HOUR TARGET IT WAS A GREAT TEAM RESULT. ON THE TRIP FROM WORLD AERO HQ AND BACK AGAIN, THE TEAM WALKED 23.75 MILES OVER 17 HOURS 46 MINUTES, TRAVELLED IN A MINIBUS FOR 1368 MILES TAKING 31 HOURS 42 MINUTES AND ASCENDED A TOTAL OF 3,407 METRES. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE HAD A LOT OF LAUGHS, SOME UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES AND SAW SOME STUNNING SCENERY!

THE TOTAL FUNDS RAISED CONTINUES TO CLIMB THANKS TO THE AMAZING GENEROSITY OF OUR CUSTOMERS, SUPPLIERS, FRIENDS & FAMILIES - THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR KIND CONTRIBUTIONS.

After a busy 2013 season at World Aero, Customer Accounts Manager Chloe Smith took extended leave and as part of her travels, volunteered with Jesus Helpers Children’s Orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya.

During her stay there she experienced first hand the struggles that the children and the orphanage itself suffer on a daily basis. With over 50 children to feed, house and send to school, resources are extremely stretched.

On her return to the UK and World Aero in July 2014, Chloe has looked at ways to raise funds and awareness for JHCO. After (a little!) persuasion, a team of seven will join Chloe in the World Aero Three Peaks Challenge at the end of September to climb the UK’s three highest mountains. We’ll leave World Aero on Friday morning and drive to Fort William ready to conquer Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all within 24 hours. Well that’s the plan anyway! As well as a great experience for the staff, we’re determined to help Chloe bust her modest target for the charity. We really hope you may take a moment please to look at Chloe’s fundraising page and video and help her to deliver her commitment to the kids and staff of JHCO.

Since Chloe’s return to World Aero, she has been instrumental in building and maintaining World Aero’s excellent service levels on the accounts she manages. World Aero are grateful and proud to have such a dedicated and considerate person on the team, hence our support for her chosen charity. We really hope you may join us in our support of Chloe and Jesus Helpers Children's Orphanage. Thank you.
