Starting the year on a new level

1 JANUARY 2014

As the industry celebrates 100 years of commercial aviation, congratulations to World Aero's Managing Director Phil Randell, who realised a personal challenge and made it to the summit of Kilimanjaro on 1st January 2014, in time to see the first sunrise of the New Year.

With an elevation of 5,895m (19,341 ft) it is the tallest peak in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world. Of the 15,000 who attempt to reach the summit annually, it is said that only approximately 70% make it to the peak - a real achievement and a great way to start the year on a high.
